A superb and unusual Baktiari hand made wool camel bag c1920. This wonderful example of the weavers skill has three distinct types of weaving; flat weave – like a kilim, Jijim – which is embroidered flat weave, and pile. The bag has been opened up to make a rug and is a fabulous thing. The Baktiari are one of the oldest tribal groups in Persia. In great condition it has been fully cleaned.
